WEDDING STATS...
~99 percent of grooms do the proposing.
~15 percent of proposals occur in December.
~The average American engagement lasts 14 months.
It's a lot of work (and a whole lot of fun) to be a bridesmaid...but it can also be quite costly, particularly right now when our economy is not looking healthy at all (fingers crossed that all is not lost!). Friends and family may not have known you were getting engaged and haven't budgeted for the usual wedding accoutrement: dress, shoes, accessories... Not to mention the bachelorette party, numerous showers, wedding gifts, etc. (cue open change purse with moths flying out of the black abyss inside...)
Scenario: after much deliberation, you have decided to do favors after all, and to use candy (my own personal favorite)...but you're at a loss as to what you would like to package it in. Check out Beaucoup, a stellar website that offers great ideas for every single aspect of your favor needs, including packaging! Here are some of my featured favorites:

I don't know about you, but I am a HUGE fan of sweets, particularly baked goods and CANDY! Candy buffets are a great idea for a little something extra at your wedding. Here are some photos I found that I just love. I hope they offer you some inspiration if you are thinking about creating your own:

Weddings are expensive, but there are lots of creative ways to use a little elbow grease and save money on things like decor. Here is one idea that I just love! Martha Stewart's do-it-yourself pom poms...they are relatively simple to construct and her step-by-step directions really take you from start to finish without any hiccups (provided below).
