Let me preface this by saying I am not a fan of the type of wedding registry that has nothing but Waterford crystal bowls and silver candlesticks on it. For the record, I believe in a practical registry that covers all ends of the gift-giving spectrum. My rule of thumb is this: if you really want china, and you know you will use your china, and (probably most importantly) you know your guests can afford to buy you china, by all means, register for it. Otherwise, don't bother. That’s just my personal opinion, and thankfully we are all entitled to one.
