Coordinating the San Francisco Bay Area and Beyond!
It's a lot of work (and a whole lot of fun) to be a bridesmaid...but it can also be quite costly, particularly right now when our economy is not looking healthy at all (fingers crossed that all is not lost!). Friends and family may not have known you were getting engaged and haven't budgeted for the usual wedding accoutrement: dress, shoes, accessories... Not to mention the bachelorette party, numerous showers, wedding gifts, etc. (cue open change purse with moths flying out of the black abyss inside...)
Oh how I love the gowns from La Sposa!
Here's a brief preview of some of my favorites from next season's catalogue... Modern, yet classic. A blast from the past with a contemporary flair...I don't know how they do it! FYI, you can find La Sposa at many of our local bridal salons including Rin's in San Carlos and Trudy's in Campbell (two of my favorites). For the full line, check out La Sposa's site.
Enjoy! :)

Jessica McClintock is not just for prom anymore!
I say that because my exposure to her clothing line started when I was about 15 years old, and I was searching for a prom dress. A family friend suggested I look at the Jessica McClintock Outlet (which is now located in San Francisco at 25-15th Street, Telephone: 415-553-8390), so my mother took me, and I found a fluffy teal number with sequins and ruffles that I just loved. It was a dream. Okay, this was back in the very early 90’s ladies, so I have an excuse. Some of you wore similar dresses I'm sure...
I was a flower girl when I was 6 years old, and I will never forget how special and exciting that entire experience was for me. Getting ready with the "big girls" and being allowed to wear lip gloss for the very first time, the adorable dress my Nonna (grandmother) made for me to wear in the wedding, the classic car I got to ride in, and my cute little ring bearer with his huge bow tie, frilly shirt and miniature "brown" tux... Oh 1981, where have you gone?!
We've all dreamed of a beautiful, magnificent wedding day...it's okay, you can admit it...you know it's true! And okay, so things are looking a little bleak these days... Financially, you may not be in the best position to pay for a wedding and yet you and your significant other have decided to just do it - to throw caution to the wind and tie the knot surrounded by those you love for ceremony and celebration...gas prices be damned!
